The Prophetic Gift: To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.

Story Time: The Crown That Changed Everything ✨

For about six months, I kept seeing crowns. Everywhere.

At first, I didn’t know what it meant — Pretty In Praise wasn’t even fully birthed yet. But the seed was planted. I was learning, growing, and most importantly, healing.

This photo was taken the night I attended a private house gathering for a worship night during the holidays. I had never been to something like this before, but I thought — what a beautiful way to gather and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Christmas was taking on a whole new meaning for me as I continued my faith walk.

One thing that stood out about that night was when the host asked everyone to bring a prophetic gift.

If you’re unfamiliar with that term, a prophetic gift is something chosen prayerfully — a gift given under the prompting of the Holy Spirit, meant to speak into someone’s life in a divine and personal way.

So, I picked something I felt led to give and wrapped it. During the exchange, each person picked a gift at random. We could trade if we wanted to, but the real idea was this: God would guide your hand to the gift meant for you.

When I opened mine and saw a crown, I nearly broke down.

In that moment, I knew. This was for me.

It was more than a symbol — it was a confirmation.

That night, Pretty In Praise stopped being just a thought in my heart. It became a calling. A mission.

From that day forward, I continued walking with the Lord, saying “yes” to His lead — even when I didn’t understand. A few months later, He gave me the vision for Pretty In Praise and the words I’ll never forget:

“Go and get my daughters.”

He reminded me — my story didn’t start with what happened to me, but with what He will do through me.

Pretty In Praise was meant to reconnect His daughters — those who have been wounded, who questioned their worth, who lost their faith somewhere between trauma and survival — and lead them back to Him.

It felt heavy. I wondered, Who am I?

But the truth? I’m still a work in progress.

Aren’t we all?

The final confirmation came months later during another prophetic night. The speaker said,

“To whoever keeps seeing a crown — ask God what He wants you to do with it.”

I closed my eyes and whispered, “Ok, Lord. I’m yours. What do You want me to do with this crown?”

Instantly, I saw the vision:

The Pretty In Praise Podcast — me sitting on a black throne, dressed in black, with a lion beside me.

He showed me that I’d need to walk into dark places to reach His daughters. Behind closed doors. Through stories. Through testimony. Through His Word. We can overcome darkness. With a lion by our side and a crown on our head...

Each episode is a reminder of His faithfulness.

Of His healing.

Of His love that never lets go. While we share in the testimonies that saved us, healed us, and set us on fire for the next woman to do the same.

this crown is part of my journey.

But it’s also part of yours.

👑 You already have one.

Straighten it out.

Hold your head high.

And let’s keep walking together — daughters of the King.
